Bayside Quartet

Bayside is a breakout quartet from the Cable Car Chorus. It formed a few years ago after a rehearsal when four hard-working barbershop devotees from around the Bay Area decided they admired their blend so much they would create a performing quartet. Bayside’s lead Greg Goyhenetche, bass Orv Teising, baritone Jon Shuster and tenor Tom Carter had sung for years in other choruses before discovering barbershop. And this seemed just what they had always wanted – one person on each part making rich harmony for an audience. Since then, Bayside has had an exciting growth spurt. Showing a delightful enthusiasm to match their fine sound, the Baysiders have performed at garden and dinner parties and in retirement communities. The repertoire ranges from old favorites to barbershop arrangements of show tunes and pop songs.
